Ambush Hunting (Vaktjakt / Vakjakt)

Stand Hunting/Ambush hunting
Stand/ambush hunting means that the hunter remains still and waits for game to arrive at a location where it often moves, such as at a bait site, game trail, water source, or a field with cultivated crops.

The location is chosen based on wind direction and visibility, and the hunter usually sits in a hunting tower, blind, or hide during dawn, dusk, or night.

This hunting method requires silence, patience, and good camouflage.
Common species for stand hunting include wild boar and fox, and shots are only taken at stationary animals with a safe backstop for the bullet.
